Database Driven Sites Using PHP And MySQL Training (Mark Benson)
Jun 10, 2010
PHP and MySQL training is very popular with programmers who are keeping up with changing times. Recently emerged programming languages PHP and MySQL are side server web applications that allow the user to write data base, based web pages.
MySQL has proven to be very effective and when it is combined with PHP, eve more so. This combination of technologies provides the programming student with very necessary skills to build complex web pages which depend upon a database system to function successfully.
Training courses are structured so that 70% of the course teaches the fundamental skills of both PHP and MySQL applications. It is a requirement that the student already knows HTML. These programming languages are applied to real scenarios during the period of the training and in this way the student learns both these languages and their practical applications.
The main objective of this training is to enable the student to work with the fundamentals of interactive, multi-functional websites which operate from databases and they are required to learn about forms, PHP email handling, strings, integers, file handling, HTML/CSS, handling sessions, and email in PHP.
There are some basic computer requirements and these include Linux, Mindows, Macos X, or the Solaris operating system. A web server is also required, either apache http or Microsoft IIS, PHP 5 or later version and it is actually recommended that the most modern versions of all applications be used, Internet Explorer 6 or a later version and or Firefox 2 or higher.
PHP is the language which controls the front end functioning of the web site, while MySQL is the programming language which designs and operates the controlling database of the site. Learning the fundamentals of building a website is integral to this training and although HTML is taught in the course, having a basic knowledge of this helps a good deal.
The training is designed on the practice makes perfect principal. This means that the student is taught to take everyday scenarios and find solutions to these. In this process they learn the rudiments, as well as the ins and outs of interactive website creation and problem solving.
MySQL and PHP training is an essential skill to have in today's technologically advanced times. We are all aware how quickly technology advances and anyone who wishes to have a career in programming has set them selves up for a life of perpetual change and growth. Training in these skills is only a part of what is required to be successful in this field, and stay on top of things.
