9 Easy Ways To Rank In Search Engines (Mike Paetzold)

May 14, 2009

As the owner of a website, one of your goals is to drive traffic to the site. So, how would you drive traffic to your site? To help you with that, here are some tips for you to follow.

1. Use some keyword research tool and try to know which keywords are usually used when using the search engines. Be sure that it is related to the product, service and/or the website you own. Once you have the necessary keywords, use the keywords as the text in your design to help increase your site's traffic.

2. In designing your website, make sure to use very few cells and tables as possible.

3. Be sure to create and put good Meta tags to the pages of your site. Each page should have its own keywords along with its title and description Meta tags.

4. When placing Meta tags, make sure that you limit the number of times that you repeat the words in your Keyword Meta Tag, as this can lead to suspicions.

5. In setting up the navigation links for your site, make sure to arrange the pages according to importance. Let the most important page along with its keywords be placed on the first page of the website and the rest should follow.

6. If you are done writing or setting up the page for your website, see to it that you review it one more time. Run a spell checking program to you page. After doing so, compress the HTML code of the page.

7. If you are using an article directory or any article submission program, always limit your service use. Do not always depend on the program as your site might then be questionable by the search engines. As a result, their spiders or robots will not crawl to your site anymore. Thus, you will lose the ranking as well as the traffic.

8. A website does not require having animations and flashy images to be able to have a rank in the search engines. What matters is the content of your site. So, keep your site as simple as possible and go for the content to get better results in ranking.

9. If you know the important keywords for your site, do not waste the space by putting it at the end of the page. Always place the important keywords at the top page of the site and make it as text headers.
