It is difficult to pinpoint the most popular menswear designers due to constantly changing trends and fashions. Men have become a lot more style conscious and since this has happened there is a lot more opportunity for designers to create an entire range of clothing in their own style. Currently there are more different styles of clothing than ever before and more men wearing different trends.
Of course it is difficult to determine which designers are the most popular, because there are a large number of factors which can affect it. There is such a wide array of clothing offered by the high street that there is something to suit all budgets. Certain age groups will only shop in certain shops and so age plays a big part. At the moment Topman is one of the most popular designers. They are now a style setter when they were previously just a cheap clothing store.
Topman came from the Women's clothing group Topshop. Cheap clothing which was relevant to current styles was where they began selling. Topman's following grew and as this happened they began to create a style of their own and their ethos changed. They moved on from cheap clothing but still sell good quality cheap t-shirts although their now range spans right up to expensive tailor fitted suits and is aimed at the 18-35 year old market.
Similar to Topman are All saints. Although a relatively new designer, All saints have become very popular offering a very high quality and more expensive alternative to Topman. They have taken influence from Topman however their range is a lot more casual and also aimed at the 18-35 range.
Finally there is Levi's. Having been around for a number of years, Levi's have managed to stay up to date with fashion for both a younger and older audience. Being predominantly a denim clothing designer they have a large range of jeans which allows them to stock items for all ages. Levi's have also moved into other clothing items such as underwear and t-shirts which has allowed them to like Topman and All saints create their own style rather than sell items to compliment a different style.
