Want To Follow The Largest Econ Life Cycle In The Country For The Next 20 Years. (Monica Howard)

Sep 8, 2010

Sometimes the best stories are buried. I found such a story recently while tweeting. I enjoy travel a lot and obviously wanted to connect on twitter with other like minds. If your not on tweeter yet, you should be. This is a perfect example of why you should.

I didn't know the Babyboomers are currently retiring at a rate of over 10,000 per day. That is a huge group of people and it's expanding... fast! Apparently travel is the fastest growing industry in the world. Seems to go hand in hand.

The tweet stated that travel grew by one "trillion" dollars within the last 12 months. In addition, travel is at eight trillion dollars world wide, and it has single handedly gobbled up the top three leading industries worldwided. These industries are PetroChemical, Pharmaceutical's and Food. Amazing numbers.

Did you know that the Babyboomers represent the largest trend in the world. It started in 1946 and is projected to continue for about 20 more years. As the boomer have aged, they have affected everything in the market from baby food, mustang cars, mini vans, and now travel.

I recently started tweeting. I find it as an interesting way to communicate. I did a search on travel once I joined twitter, and found this one particular tweeter. He is full of good information and has good leads in the travel industry.

Not everyone is a breakthrough thinker who's goal is to watch trends that are revolutionizing industry. But lucky for us, such innovators like @twittedtraveler exist to help aid the rest of us. I am not sure what may inspire you but, if you love to travel like myself and millions of others worldwide, you should follow @twittedtraveler. Maybe you will pick something up or add to the conversation.
