As an owner of photoshop x-ray, learning the basic x-ray affect can be a bit frustrating in the beginning. Only a few photosop x-ray users can put together stunning effects of x-ray imagery. Some owners use specialize x-ray equipment to create the beautiful and stunning art of x-ray photoshop.
We all know most people don't have access to special x-ray equipment that we can all get our hands on. There is information out there to make beautiful x-ray images without the special and expensive equipment. There's a way to take apart everyday ordinary electronics appliances from home.
This is a simple a easy technique that can applied by using the adobe layer feature. Also you can upload other files such as JPG to your adobe x-ray. This a coast effective way to achieve the x-ray effect you want for you images.
You can prepare a lighting stage or small studio lights for a better image detail for your picture upload. You can make it easier for your self by taking photo of the object as your going along. It's less of a time consumer for the photographer using this process.
After that task is finished, now you can prepare for the image layering feature of you adobe software. You'll want to prepare for your image layout dimension settings also. Now for your uploaded images you'll want to set the image resolution the same as your digital camera.
When that task is done, get ready to make an x-ray image. Next you'll want to set your uploaded image with the proper dimension. You'll want to make resolution the same as your digital camera, just to make sure your photos have the best image quality.
For the next phase, we need to decide the x-ray style images for our photo layout. Airport scanners and medical x-ray machine are the more standard images you can use for the effect. The airport scanner, to me is a better look for the layout, simply because of the color detail of the x-ray image.
Now when importing your fist layout you'll need to start from the back all the way to the front of your photos. It is more accentual for your adobe x-ray layered feature. You can also upload there file formats such as jpg to the software and it will convert it to xmp format.
After importing you'll find your file in smart object click on the icon in the layer. After clicking on the icon you'll have the option to change your setting. When returning to photoshop the file setting will remain the same.
For your layout, you'll want to cut the image from the background. When doing so create a mask, doing this will prevent the destruction of the pixels. In order to make a mask create a group import of your images and then give it a new name.
When cutting out an import go to the layer icon of your image device, it is recommend to create a skeleton layout. The word (Group 1) will appear, in this final example you'll need to layer you x-ray images. For each of your layouts you'll need to make every image light as you place them together, repeat until in the group order until you are done.
