How To Tweak Your Computer With Cache Enhancer? (jon crain)

Cacheman XP is a windows system service designed to improve the performance of your computer by optimizing several caches, auto recovering RAM and fine tuning a number of system settings.
Auto optimization makes it suitable for novice and intermediate users yet it is also powerful and versatile enough for computer experts. Backups of settings ensure that all user modifications can be reversed with a single click.
It requires Windows NT4/2000/2003 or XP to run, uses minimal resources and virtually no CPU time. The help file includes a screenshot based system performance guide.
Many of other competitors of cache enhancers uses part virtual memory algorithm which modifies virtual memory setting. But Cacheman XP does not modify it at all. This saves valuable disk space and thereby increasing speed by managing & optimizing CPU cache.
The application is separated into two major components: The system service and the settings application.
The system service uses minimal resources (usually around 1.5 MB) and virtually no CPU time, it is represented by two tray Icons. You need administrator rights to setup and configure it. After this process is completed, every user on the system can utilize both the service and the settings application.
The tray icon options can be set according to personal preference by every user. The main purposes of the service component are to control the file cache, recover RAM and display system information (configurable in the Options tab). Since its a system service it works also if no user is logged in.
Many of online stores such as MDofPC believe that cache optimizing programs are gaining more demand in their worldwide customer, just because of the increasing need of many high end games, animation programs & other huge application programs. And of course it is the fact!
CPU processes do not end automatically. The system waits until the process ends, and, if the process takes more time than the value of the hung application timeout entry, then the end task dialog box appears, stating that the application cannot respond to the end task request. With this tweak enabled, crashed processes will end automatically.
Almost all RAM recovery programs are good. Usually the recovery is done too often (constant disk activity), too much data gets moved to the paging file (so when the user switches programs there are major slowdowns) and often the recovery is executed at a time when the user does something important and CPU consuming, slowing down all system operations.
