Printer Reviews For Technophobes (Dominic Donaldson)
May 20, 2009
Choosing your hardware can be a difficult process, especially when there are so many different brands on the market to choose from. If you are not a big fan of computers it can be very frustrating trying to find a printer that will suit your computer and your printing needs. Here we look at three printers reviews currently that are currently available online, to help those that are not tech-savvy find the best hardware for them and their computer.
The first printer we are looking at is the Epson Stylus Photo PX700 printer which is an all-in-one printer that is capable of printing at photo-quality. The first appeal of this Epson printer is that it takes a mere ten minutes to set up once it has been opened. Extremely user-friendly and stylish looking the model has many features that you can use. It takes only three minutes to print out a borderless a4 colour photo and with any photo enhancements add another minute on the time. Overall though this make is extremely good value for money and offers a range of good quality features.
This next device has received good criticism from printer reviews, the Kodak ESP 9. Just like the Epson this printer is an all-in-one and offers a large range of services. Although the printer is fairly pricey at three hundred pounds it does boast the 'lowest cost ink replacement', telling the user they will save up to seventy five pounds a year compared to competitor printers. This printer works well with the technology but not without minor flaws, the biggest attraction to this product will be the low cost it provides for ink and usage. Scan features are of a high quality, the faxing abilities are good too so overall this is great for someone who needs all of the features but quite expensive for someone just using the printing capabilities.
Lastly looking at printer reviews, you will come across the Lexmark X4650 which is the cheapest of all the printers in this article. The Lexmark is larger than other models, but this is due to the included scanner. Overall the performance of this printer does meet all expectations but users should be aware of the problems there can be trying to install it. However, despite the tricky installation, once it was installed the photography prints are particularly impressive and considering the price good value for money.
